Julius Espedal, CEO and founder

Julius Espedal Julius, a qualified mechanical engineer, launched Langlee Wave Power in 2006 to focus on the development and commercialisation of his groundbreaking wave power system.

He had previously founded electronics company Frontec in March 2001, importing custom made components for the electronics industry in Scandinavia, which he sold in 2006 to set up Langlee.

Alexandra de Marichalar, Electrical Engineer

Alexandra joined Langlee in 2012 after completing her Masters degree in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid).

She finalised her studies at KTH University in Stockholm in 2011 where she completed her thesis on wave energy generation and designed, built and tested a wave energy prototype.

Originally from Tenerife, Alexandra works on the development of Langlee's Wave Energy Converter technology as well as a the projects on the Canary Islands.

Simone Meme, Site Development

Screen Shot 2013-03-11 at 12.57.23 Simone joined the Langlee team in the Canary Islands in 2012 and is responsible for environmental studies and site development in the Canaries..

He got his Bs and Ms in Environmental Engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza, where is he originally from, and completed in 2010 a post-graduate specialist with full grant in Marine Renewable Energies at the University of Hawaii.

Jose Luis Roger, Project Manager

José joined the Langlee team in the Canary Islands in 2013 as Project Manager for the prototype fabrication and technical development.

He has a Bs in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer from the University of Las Palmas and also several post-graduates in industrial and maritime areas.

Originally from Las Palmas, he is experienced in project control, analysis and execution.

Christian Adeler, Executive Assistant

Screen Shot 2013-03-11 at 13.00.48 Christian joined the Langlee team in Oslo in 2012 as an Executive Assistant, taking responsability of finance and administrative tasks. Originally from Las Palmas.

He has a Bs in Marketing and International Trade from ESCOEX University of Las Palmas and a Ms in Finance from IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa).

Kjetil Bruun-Olsen, Project Manager

Screen Shot 2013-03-11 at 13.03.16 Kjetil has more than 25 years’ experience in offshore and shipping industries and joined Langlee in 2012.

He has worked as technical director for a number of ship-owners and has held project management positions for complex offshore oil and gas developments.

Tom Fagernes Nestli, Electrical Specialist

Tom Nestli Tom has several years’ experience with Swedish-Swiss multinational corporation ABB, one of the largest engineering companies in the world. He is currently Senior Advisor at Unitech Power Systems AS and in recent years has run his own consultancy.

Ola Often, Marine Expert

Ola Often Ola is a technical consultant who has been supporting Langlee since 2008. With 27 years’ experience in offshore engineering, Ola brings valuable subsea engineering expertise.

Peter K. Gjessing, Financial Advisor

Peter Gjessing Peter is an experienced financial expert who was educated in the US and has extensive experience in the offshore and shipping industries in Norway and abroad. He has been involved with Langlee Wave Power since 2009.
